Jones and Bartlett Acquires Infinity Science Press
Sudbury, MA – October 6, 2008: Today, Jones and Bartlett Publishers (J&B) announces the acquisition of Infinity Science Press, a privately held publisher specializing in the areas of computer science, engineering, mathematics, business and physics designed primarily for the educational and professional/reference markets. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Infinity Science Press was founded by David Pallai, a Yale graduate with 30 years of successful publishing experience, who will be joining J&B as Publisher. Previously, Dave founded Charles River Media a publisher of computer science books which sold to Thomson Learning in July, 2005 and held key positions with Academic Press and Addison-Wesley.
“I am pleased about the acquisition and addition of Dave Pallai to the J&B team. The titles published by Infinity Science Press are a wonderful complement to J&B’s already outstanding computer science, mathematics, and physics lists and allow us to expand into new areas of higher education and professional publishing,” said Clayton E. Jones, Chief Executive Officer of J&B.
