Get in on an expanding strategic initiative within one of the fastest growing educational publishers.  Join Jones and Bartlett’s sales team as we enhance our position as the 6^th largest higher education publisher of media and textbooks in the US.  We are looking for experienced sales people to expand our business in the career and proprietary school market., in either the Northeast or Chicago territories.

This is an opportunity to take your career in publishing to the next level, as you contribute directly to the company’s success in this new area through the following activities:

• Identify and establish relationships with customers in the proprietary school market.
• Prepare and make corporate presentations to large career school organizations.
• Use follow up and initiative to ensure closed sales on high quality textbooks, educational materials, online resources, and reference books.
• Work closely with marketing to develop effective promotional and sales campaign strategies.
• Work collaboratively with the editorial and production staff to maximize the Company’s unique competitive advantages, identifying new and customizable product areas.

Requirements:

• Previous sales experience (3 years or greater) within the education market..
• Requires approximately 30% travel.  
• Familiarity with textbook and other educational materials and the propriety school market is highly advantageous.
• Requires a four-year degree, computer literacy, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
