Chapter 8 - Proteins and the Genetic Code

Proteins are essential to life; nucleic acids are essential to make proteins. A genetic code, embedded in DNA and replicated in RNA, is the informational recipe of life. The code is universal but it may have "evolved." Our understanding of the DNA, RNA, and the genetic code has "evolved" as well.

Topics for Chapter 8:

  • A Revolution in Fundamental Biology

  • Proteins may also Regulate What Enters Cells
