Chapter 6 - The Earth

Charles Darwin started biology on its modern study of evolution in 1859. But well before that, geologists had concluded that Earth was ancient. Later, in another great revolution of science, geologists advanced their discipline again with their theory of plate tectonics, the basis for "continental drift."
