From the time of Darwin until today, people have been wrestling with the possible significance of Darwin’s conclusions for society and humanity. These questions traverse the shoreline between the definable landscapes of science and the tumultuous waves of philosophy, ethics, and purpose. “What to do about it” and “what to think about it” are part of humanity’s evolutionary heritages but that does not make these questions any simpler.
