This course discusses basic accident investigation requirements and guidance, why we investigate accidents, what an accident is, and the details of the accident investigation process. This module also briefly reviews crisis management planning. Learn what an accident is and be able to identify the different types; find out why accident investigations are conducted; learn to identify different causal factors; understand the process of conducting an accident investigation; learn how to gather information; learn how to develop corrective actions; understand the basic principles of crisis management.  Sample accident investigation forms are provided.
