The visual presentation of this text is very informative. [It is] easy-to-read, up-to-date, understandable, and very student and user friendly! I really like the activities including heart disease knowledge, cancer prevention scale, and fitness club visits (I haven’t seen these in other books).

This text does not over explain or use terminology that is not practical to today’s college student. Its major strengths are its practical implications and applications. The online quizzes and appendices are excellent. Nicely done.

This book is easy to use, inexpensive and yet a comprehensive introductory text! My students get the learning they need without having to sort through a large book. What is important is included and anything that is beyond introductory is left out. This edition…adds in some of the health and disease information that is pertinent to college students.
