Jez Hunter
Mr. Hunter was employed as a commissioned officer in the Royal Marines from 1991-2001, where he specialized in hazardous environment tactical access. As a climbing instructor during this period, he developed a strong interest in height-related safety and progressed through the Industrial Roped Access Trade Association (IRATA) professional development training system becoming a Level 3 Trainer. After leaving the Forces in 2001, Jez was instrumental in the development of a safety consultancy specializing in the provision of rope, water, and confined space technical access and rescue safety solutions
Jez is an active swiftwater and flood rescue instructor training instructors to International Rescue Instructors Authority standards. Mr. Hunter was awarded corporate membership of the Chartered Institution of Occupational Safety and Health in 2002 and is an Associate Member of the Expert Witness Institute. He lectures on technical rope and water rescue around the globe and sits on a number of committees in the United Kingdom.
