EMT-Intermediate
The Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate program is based on the National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Intermediate curriculum. Topics include automated external defibrillation, basic cardiac electrophysiology, intravenous therapy, venipuncture, acid-base balance, and fluids and electrolytes. Upon completion, students should be able to properly establish an IV line, obtain venous blood, utilize AEDs, and correctly interpret arterial blood gases.
