Kendra Gail Bergstrom, MD - NYU School of Medicine, New York City, New York

Kendra Gail Bergstrom, MD is a board-certified dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.  After undergraduate work at the University of California, Berkeley, she attended medical school at Stanford University.  At Stanford, she completed research in immunology, clinical trials in psoriasis, and later in melanoma vaccines.  She completed internal medicine internship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and residency in dermatology at New York University.  

 
Dr. Bergstrom is in private practice in Manhattan.  In a teaching role, Dr. Bergstrom is a teaching physician at Bellevue Hospital in New York City, an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at NYU, and a volunteer faculty member at New York Downtown Hospital.  In addition to this book, she is the author a chapter in the textbook Dermatology in Internal Medicine, and several publications.  She is a contributing editor to the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, authoring the News, Views, and Reviews column.  
 
A native of Seattle, WA, Dr. Bergstrom has been an internationally competitive rower and now enjoys running and hiking.

Alexa Boer Kimball, MD, MPH - Massachusetts General and Brigham and Women's Hospitals

Alexa Boer Kimball, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School and Vice Chair of the Department of Dermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She is also the director of the Clinical Unit for Research Trials in Skin based at both Massachusetts General and Brigham and Women’s Hospitals.

 
Dr. Kimball received her medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine after obtaining bachelor’s degrees in molecular biology and public and international affairs from Princeton University. She completed her residency in dermatology at the Stanford University Medical Center and a clinical research fellowship in dermatology at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, as  she concurrently obtained an MPH from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.
 
She is widely recognized for her work on psoriasis, physician workforce economics and outcomes research with articles published journals such as the Archives of Dermatology, Arthritis and Rheumatism, and the British Journal of Dermatology and the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Kimball was previously associate editor for the “Clinical Trials and Therapeutics” section of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and a medical editor for the “Dermatology” section of eMedicine. She is also the author of the book 100 Questions and Answers about Psoriasis, which has been translated into Spanish and Korean.
