Pawan Lingras - Saint Mary's University
Pawn Lingras is Professor and Chairperson of Department of Mathematics and Computing Science at Saint Mary's University, Halifax, Canada. He has authored more than 100 research papers in various international journals and conferences. His areas of interests include artificial intelligence, information retrieval, data mining, web intelligence, and intelligent transportation systems. He has served as the review committee chair, program committee member, and reviewer for various international conferences on artificial intelligence and data mining. He has also served as general workshop chair for IEEE conference on Data Mining (ICDM), and ACM/IEEE/WIC conference Web Intelligence, and Intelligent Agent Technologies (WI/IAT). He is an associate editor of Web Intelligence: An International Journal, as well as on the editorial board of International Journal of Computer Science & Applications.
Rajendra Akerkar - Technomathematics Research Foundation
Rajendra Akerkar is the Founder Chairman of the Technomathematics Research Foundation, India. He is also a Senior Scientist at the Western Norway Research Institute, Norway. He received the BOYSCAST (Young Scientist) award of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India in 1997, and was the recipient of the prestigious DAAD fellowship and UNESCO-TWAS Associate in mathematical sciences. Rajendra Akerkar's research and teaching assignments have taken him around the world to Germany, Japan, Norway, Austria, Canada, Vietnam, Spain and Armenia. He is also member of IASTED Technical Committee on Artificial Intelligence & Expert Systems. He is a life member of the Indian Science Congress and the Indian Mathematical Society. Akerkar serves as editor-in-chief of International Journal of Computer Science & Applications and Journal of Hybrid Computing Research, and is on the editorial board of numerous other computer science journals. More than 80 of Akerkar's research papers have been published in reputed national and international journals and he has authored 9 books and edited 4 volumes of international conferences on Artificial Intelligence & Applications of Computer Algebra. His research agenda basically concentrates on learning and natural language - how each works in the human and how they can be replicated in a machine. His area of interest broadly includes intelligent systems, semi structured data, Web data mining, and semantic web.
