Melissa Umphlett, MD - Washington Hospital Center

Melissa Umphlett received her Masters in Medical Science in April 2003 and became a Medical Doctor in April 2005.  After taking some time off to research, write, and travel she moved from New York City to Washington D.C. to enter a residency in Pathology at Washington Hospital Center.  She is currently editing and revising her second book, “Love Stinks” which is a non-fiction, scientifically based book geared towards a general audience.  She is co-founder of a special group of international Doctors known as “The VIDD” who have their annual meeting every spring in Ibiza, Spain.  She plans to continue to write and return to NYC for a fellowship.
