Claudia S. Plottel, MD, FACP, FCCP holds the rank of Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the New York University (NYU) School of Medicine, where she is a member of the division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Plottel earned her Bachelor’s degree from Bryn Mawr College and her MD from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She pursued her post–graduate training in Internal Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at Bellevue Hospital Center in her hometown of New York City. A Fellow of the American College of Physicians as well as of the American College of Chest Physicians, Dr. Plottel has a particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of asthma. She is the author of 100 Questions and Answers about Asthma (Jones and Bartlett, 2005). In addition to her medical teaching and writing, Dr. Plottel maintains an active clinical practice in Manhattan dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of lung disease, with a particular focus on asthma.
B. Robert Feldman, MD, MD, MD, FAAP - Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York-Presbyterian
B. Robert Feldman, MD is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York. He is the associate director of the Allergy Division, Department of Pediatrics at the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York-Presbyterian. He completed his pre-medical studies at The College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia and earned his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences, The Chicago Medical School in Chicago. Dr. Feldman completed his internship, residency in Pediatrics and first year of Allergy fellowship at the Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago. He returned to New York to complete his allergy/immunology training at the Babies Hospital, Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Feldman has spent his entire career at this institution.
Dr. Feldman’s major area of clinical research and publication has been devoted to pediatric asthma. In 1987, he authored The Complete Book of Children’s Allergies: A Guide for Parents, published by The Times Books division of Random House publishers. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Feldman is a past president of the New York Allergy Society, the New York State Society of Allergy & Immunology, and past chairman of the Allergy Section of the New York State Medical Society.
