Dr. Berger is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology and has authored eight books and 180 professional papers.  He is the developer of GIDEON, a web-based system for diagnosis and informatics in the fields of Geographic Medicine and Clinical Microbiology.


John Marr, MD - Office of Epidemiology - Virginia Department of Health, Virginia

Dr. Marr received his MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, General Public Health and Occupational Health. He has been Director of the Office of Epidemiolgy for both the New York City and Virginia Departments of Health, and has traveled and worked extensively in the developing world.. He has authored three childrens’ books on public health topics, written three medical novels, co-edited a text on bioterrorism, written 50 professional papers, and contributed to dozens of journal book reviews and other medical publications.
