Laura T. Pizzi, PharmD, MPH - Jefferson Medical College
Dr. Laura Pizzi is Associate Director of Research in the Department of Health Policy at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Pizzi received a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Rutgers University College of Pharmacy in New Jersey, and was a fellow in pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She obtained a Masters in Public Health in Epidemiology and Quantitative Methods from the New Jersey School of Public Health at the University of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Pizzi frequently writes and presents on topics related to economic evaluation in health care, and instructs the graduate course in economic evaluation at the Jefferson College of Graduate Studies. Dr. Pizzi's research interests are in the areas of economic evaluation, medication usage and policy, prescribing informatics, and health-related productivity. She resides in New Jersey with her husband and two children.
Jennifer Lofland, PharmD, MPH, PhD - Jefferson Medical College
Dr. Jennifer Lofland is a Project Director and Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy at Thomas Jefferson University. She obtained her PharmD degree from the University of Maryland, and her MPH and PhD degrees from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore. She completed a residency in Pharmacy Practice at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Lofland’s research interests include health services research and health-related productivity. She has published numerous articles on the economics of migraine headache and is particularly interested in the impact of headache on one’s ability to work. She resides in the Philadelphia area with her husband and two children.
