Linda J. Smith, BSE, FACCE, IBCLC, is an internationally known author, teacher and lecturer, and proud grandmother. She is the author of 4 lactation text books and has contributed chapters to three other texts. A lactation consultant in private practice, she was a founder of IBLCE, founder and past board member of ILCA, and currently serves on the United States Breastfeeding Committee.

Linda owns and operates the Bright Future Lactation Resource Centre in Dayton, OH, whose mission is "Supporting the People who Support Breastfeeding" with lactation education programs, consulting services, and educational and promotional resources.
